DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Iowa 112 begins in Volga and travels southeasterly to Iowa 13 approximately five miles southeast of Volga.

Due to transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑112‑0 (1) ‑‑2M‑22 between Volga and the Iowa Department of Transportation approved February 21, 1980, that portion of Iowa 112 beginning at the north line of Iowa Street southerly to the south corporation line should be deleted from the primary road system and reverted to the City street system of Volga, effective March 1, 1980.

Due to transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑112‑0 (2) ‑‑2M‑22 between Clayton County and the Iowa Department of Transportation approved February 21, 1980, that portion of Iowa 112 from the south corporation line of Volga southeasterly to a junction with Iowa 13 approximately ¼ mile south of the N ¼ Corner of Section 20‑T92N‑R5W should be deleted from the primary road system and reverted to the Clayton County secondary road system, effective March 1, 1980.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the description of Iowa 112 in Clayton County as referred to in the attached detailed description be deleted from the primary road system.

Remove Iowa 112 and its extension in County as follows:

Volga City:

Beginning on an unnamed street at Iowa Street; thence southerly to the south corporation line connecting with an unnamed street.

Beginning on the south corporation line of the City of Volga City, connecting with an unnamed street; thence in a southeasterly, easterly and southeasterly direction through Section 10 and 11‑T92N‑R6W to a point approximately 500 feet east of the S ¼ Corner Section 11‑T92N‑R6W; thence east through Sections 14 and 13‑T92N‑R6W to a point approximately 900 feet east of the NW Corner Section 13‑T92N-R6W; thence in a southeasterly direction through Section 13‑T92N‑R6W and Section 18 and 20‑T92N‑R5W to a point approximately ¼ mile south of the N ¼ Corner Section 20‑T92N‑R5W (junction Iowa 13).

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records Iowa 112 in Clayton County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the old description of Iowa 112 in Clayton County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.

Volga City:
